The Wynwood neighborhood in Miami, formerly an industrial area, is now well-known for its trendy boutiques, restaurants, galleries, and, most notably, graffiti and street art. In 2009, real estate mogul and redeveloper Tony Goldman created Wynwood Walls, an open art gallery that made canvases out of the existing industrial buildings in the area. The gallery comprises 40 murals from some of the world's best street artists and has covered over 80,000 square feet of walls since its opening.
