Hi ,
I hope you're having a blessed Friday.
As you may know, Lebanon is suffering and thousands of humans have been fleeing the south with no certainty that they might return to their homes. At the same time, Gaza is being bombed by that same occupation who has no empathy for the humans who reside in the buildings they obliterate.
Just now, we've made three donations to both Lebanon and Gaza.
1. We donated $10,000 to Pious Project's Emergency Relief Fund for Lebanon which will provide temporary shelter and food packages to fleeing families.
2. We donated $20,302 to Human Concern Internationals on-ground team in Gaza to provide food and water.
3. Our last donation was of $67,402 to Pious Project's on-ground team in Gaza to provide food, water, and aid.
This week feels like the first week of the genocide all over again. With the execution of Marcellus Williams to the atrocities happening in Lebanon, our hearts ache witnessing the injustice that we continue to see around the world. I watched a video of a girl taking her last breaths as she held on to the hand of Nooh, a member of the Palestinian rescue team. She held his hand in her final moments after spending 15 hours under the rubble. She died while he was with her as he calmly told her not to be afraid. Her labored breaths have occupied my mind since.
I want to remind you that the heaviness you and I feel in ours hearts is a feeling we should be proud to feel. Many people roam this earth and their souls are cold and their hearts are dead. They do not feel for others the way you feel. Your heart is still alive and that should push you to continue the good fight of advocating for others.
Never lose faith in humanity.
Peace and love,
Murad
