The lifeless toddler in the rainbow onesie.

Hi ,

I hope you are doing as well as one possibly can be.

We woke up today, praying that what happened on Monday was just another nightmare. Maybe it was just our brains reimagining the worst things we've seen in Gaza, all jumbled together in our sleep.

Unfortunately, everything was real.

Over 500 humans were killed and hundreds injured as the occupation decided to continue its genocide on the Palestinians of Gaza.

The occupation has violated the ceasefire agreement 962 times since it was implemented at the end of January and yet blamed the Palestinians for the end of this ceasefire.

Hundreds of children, women, and men, on our phones, burnt and limbless. Again.

Screams, fear, and trauma gushing out of our speakers. Again.

A lifeless toddler wearing a rainbow onesie in their mother's lap. Both of them were killed.

Doctors from Gaza, along those who heroically flew in to volunteer, all of them are yelling and pleading to a deaf world that they do not have the machinery or the tools to deal with what's happening. Again.

And how lucky are we, that at the end of the night, we can lock our phones and sleep without having to worry about the bombs that only posed a threat to the ones we watched or read about.

If you are out there and you do not care because they are not your children, one day, it will be your child, and there will be no one left to care.

If your heart continues to hurt, it's an indication that you are still human. That you still care for others. That you still have empathy -- something millions around the world seem to lack.

Keep doing what you can so this can end. This will end.

The night is darkest just before dawn's sun. Free Palestine and all oppressed people.

Peace and blessings,

Murad
