Some of you may have heard this story already, but Father's Day means quite a bit around here.
Four and a half years ago, my father-in-law, brother-in-law, and I launched Licorice.com from our home with a simple campaign.
At the time, we were just testing the waters to see if there was a market for the nostalgic confection we had loved since childhood.
I never imagined that would lead to over 10 million pounds of Licorice sold and a company that now makes everything from Licorice to Pretzels to Chocolate and everything in between.
But what makes me proudest isn't the growth – it's that we built it together.
My family taught me that anything worth making is worth making to put smiles on people's faces. And it's a principle that shows up in everything we sell.
Given how we started, Father's Day is a special time for us.
