This Mother's Day, a story about mine.
A note from me, because I've never properly told this story — and this felt like the right time.
If you've bought from us before, you've probably noticed pearls on almost everything we make. On a blazer lapel. Down a sleeve. Especially on our signature Kaia Jeans.
They're there because of my mother, Diana.
We left the Soviet Union in 1989, part of the Jewish emigration out. I was six years old. My parents arrived in the United States with nothing — no money, no English, no plan — and rebuilt a life from zero. Eventually we made Miami home.
Through all of it — the leaving, the arriving, the years of starting over — Diana was always the most fashionable woman in the room.
Every room.
Not because of what anything cost. Because of how she chose it. Tailored. Deliberate. One pearl necklace, worn every day for forty years. The kind of style that made other women quietly ask where something was from.
Diana and I co-founded Noli together in 2015. We ran it side by side for eight years. In 2023 she stepped back for her health and retirement, and I relaunched it as the brand you know today — ready-to-wear, same DNA, same hands.
But Diana didn't really leave. She's still the test.

|
Every piece we make starts with the same question: would Diana wear this?
If the answer is no, it doesn't get made.
I'm not designing for trends. I'm designing for the woman I watched get dressed my entire life — the one who taught me that details aren't decoration, they're the whole point. That embellishment only works when it's earned. That restraint is the most expensive-looking thing there is.
Nothing leaves the studio until I can picture her in it.

Which brings me to the Kaia Jeans.
The Kaia passes the Diana test more clearly than anything we've made. White denim, with hand-cut floral motifs scattered across the leg — and each flower bordered in pearls.
The pearls aren't decoration. They're the frame. The kind of detail you only notice when you're close enough to. Diana taught me that's the only kind of detail worth doing.
If she were going to dinner tonight, she'd wear the Kaia with a white blouse and the same pearl necklace she's worn for forty years. That's not a marketing line. That's how she'd actually get dressed.

P.S. — Reply if you want to tell me what you think. It comes straight to me. And Diana still reads the good ones.
