All five beat. And in a sane market, that would have been cause for celebration. Instead, two of the biggest names in tech got punished - not for missing numbers, but for daring to spend heavily on AI. Alphabet surged 12% on a clean quarter. Microsoft is down 14% on the year despite a beat. Meta dropped 9% post-earnings before bouncing back on trade news. What's playing out right now isn't a story about earnings.
