Big Bear Lake, California
Big Bear once again proved why it remains one of the most feared and respected stops on the Spartan calendar. High altitude, steep climbs, and rugged mountain terrain challenged racers across the entire Trifecta weekend as athletes pushed through Sprint, Super, and Beast distances in pursuit of hard-earned medals and personal milestones. Every mile demanded grit, making each finish line feel like a true accomplishment in one of the sport’s toughest environments.
Windham, Ohio
Cleveland hosted a full Trifecta weekend packed with long miles, creek crossings, and nonstop determination as racers tackled Sprint, Super, Beast, and Ultra distances throughout the event. Athletes battled through demanding conditions while chasing podium finishes, Trifecta goals, and personal victories on course. The weekend showcased the resilience and camaraderie that define the Spartan experience, with racers encouraging each other from the first obstacle to the final finish line.
Burnet, Texas
Austin brought a full weekend of Spartan action as racers took on Sprint, Super, Kids, and Hurricane Heat events across challenging Texas terrain. The combination of speed-focused racing and endurance-based Hurricane Heat challenges tested athletes physically and mentally while temperatures added another layer of difficulty. Throughout the weekend, competitors pushed through obstacles, supported one another on course, and embraced the community-driven energy that makes every Spartan event unique.
Valčianska dolina, Slovakia
Heavy rain, deep mud, and relentless hills turned Valčianska Dolina into the brutal test racers expected from one of Spartan’s most legendary venues. More than 1,800 adults and 800 kids battled through soaked terrain and slippery climbs that pushed endurance and mental toughness to the limit all weekend long. Despite the unforgiving conditions, racers flooded social media with positive reactions to the demanding course and atmosphere. In the Elite Super race, Adam Chern took the men’s victory with a time of 1:10:34, while Alžbeta Kubaščíková claimed the women’s win in 1:34:24. The weekend also exploded online, with race content from the event surpassing one million views and showcasing the raw grit that defined the race.
Henley-on-Thames, UK
The UK season opener at Culden Faw Estate delivered exactly what racers expected: steep hills, technical obstacle combinations, and an atmosphere full of intensity from start to finish. More than 6,500 racers and over 1,000 kids took on chain carries, rocky crawls, bucket carries, and punishing climbs across one of the region’s most demanding courses. The Elite men’s race came down to a dramatic spear throw battle between Roman Tóth and defending champion Tom Tweddell, with Tóth ultimately securing the victory after Tweddell missed late in the race. Mixed weather conditions added to the challenge, but racers embraced every moment of the electric opening weekend for the UK Spartan season.
Sevilla, Spain
Sevilla welcomed its first-ever DEKA event as 1,600 participants for a weekend of fast-paced functional fitness competition. The indoor setup created a smooth race experience and a high-energy festival atmosphere as athletes moved station to station chasing personal bests and podium finishes. Natalia Figueras continued her strong season with another Elite women’s victory, while Daniel Peran powered to the top of the Elite men’s leaderboard with a commanding performance. The successful debut highlighted the rapid growth of DEKA across Spain and introduced a new city to the intensity of the sport.
