OUR PICKS
June 2, 2020
Our goal at MyDomaine has always been to help our readers make their homes a comfortable, safe place. But this week has reminded us that the ability to feel safe and comfortable, both at home and in public spaces, is a privilege that not everyone is granted. And we cannot stay silent when it comes to racism, hate, oppression, and injustice.
We can do more. We have the responsibility to spread the message of inclusivity, equality, and human rights. We are taking time to listen and learn so that we can do better.
That starts with making a greater commitment to lifting up diverse voices on our site, featuring Black-owned brands and companies run by BIPOC, and further highlighting the work of Black designers and designers of color. Black lives matter.
This week, we are pausing newsletters and social posts as we process, mourn, and think deeply about how we can do more as a brand, and as individuals. You'll be hearing from us again soon in the weeks ahead as we come up with a concrete plan to make our site a more inclusive, diverse place. And we hope you'll hold us to those promises.
Our inbox is always open. To share any feedback, questions, or suggestions with our editors, please send us a note at contact@mydomaine.com.
In the meantime, please consider donating to the below organizations dedicated to fighting racial injustice in America.
