Whether you're new here or been rolling with us from the very start... it's so so great to have as part of our fast-growing #GiveBackPACK!
One of the many things we take an insane amount of pride in is that the idea of STATE was born from the nonprofit summer camp Jacq & I ran for 15 years for kids from NYC's most underfunded neighborhoods. After seeing many coming to camp with their things in ripped trash bags, we wanted to start something that supported people in our own backyard... but in ways that no other for-profit business ever had, because our mission would drive it all.
This has led to hundreds of thousands of donated backpacks, initiatives thoughtfully impacting countless American kids and families in the ways they need it most AND are now the Directors and head sponsor of CAMP MADE4ME - our new nonprofit camp serving hundreds of kids from the Bay Area's most overlooked neighborhoods.
For a long time we'd privately say that "NOBODY gives back AND makes product like we do..." but today we're really feeling it, so saying it more publicly - because it's true.
Thank you for believing in us as humans and as a brand. We continue to be proud to make you all proud!
