The History Humayun: Son of the great father(Babur) & Father of the great son(Akbar). His story: From 1530-40 & 1555-56 Humayun ruled most of India(incl. Pakistan and Afghanistan). In 1540 he defeated by ShershahSuri and escape from India to Persia and lived struggule and wandering existence for fifteen years. He came back with a strong force and recovered his kingdom back and sat on the Delhi throne once again on 23rd July 1555. He was also deeply superstitious and had the faith in astronomy, astrology and occultism. On 24th January 1556 while coming down from his library(PuranaQila) he slipped and fell down the stairs and died three days later due to head injuries at the age of 47. Humayun-Tomb built by his widow Hamida Banu Begum between 1562 and 1571. In 1604 she died and buried here. In 1659 DaraShikoh killed by his brother Aurangzeb and buried here, some later Mughals were also buried here. During 1857 mutiny the last Mughal Emperor BahadurShahZafar had taken shelter with two sons and one grandson, but they were captured by LieutenantWilliamHudson. BahadurShahZafar sent to Rangoon for trial, and the three princes were shot dead by Hudson at Lal Darwaja, also known as Khooni Darwaja. . Click here to watch the video
